Rick has Received AV-Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubell

We are humbled and honored to share that Rick Davis recently received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV-Preeminent Rating, which is the highest recognition available from the prestigious lawyer directory and peer rating service. For over a century, Martindale-Hubbell has been relied upon as one of the most reliable and authoritative rating services.

Starting as a printed book, Martindale-Hubbell’s directory is now featured online at lawyers.com and martindale.com. Martindale-Hubbell’s ratings are formed by sending peer-review surveys to other attorneys in the lawyer’s practice area and geographical area. The ratings are anonymous and the rating attorneys are asked to review the attorney’s Legal Knowledge, Analytic Capabilities, Judgment, Communication Ability, and Legal Experience. Attorneys are also asked whether they are willing to endorse the attorney’s ethical standing. In order to receive the AV-Preeminent Rating, the reviewing attorneys must both endorse the lawyer’s ethical standing and provide a score that exceeds a certain threshold. Moreover, a certain number of reviews are required before an attorney will be “rated.” Although some of the reviewing attorneys may be co-workers or classmates of the lawyer, Martindale-Hubbell has limits in place to ensure the reviewing attorneys come from a wide range of attorneys within the community, including opposing counsel and judges.

Martindale-Hubbell states “AV Preeminent is a significant rating accomplishment a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.”

“Earning the respect of peers ensures a more productive working relationship with opposing attorneys,” Rick said. “For clients, this means legal solutions come more quickly and easily. The Martindale-Hubbell rating demonstrates that, based on the evaluation of other attorneys who know how to determine the effectiveness of legal work, clients can count on me to provide sound counsel and do what’s right for them.”

In addition to receiving the AV-Preeminent Rating, Rick has also been named as a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and an associate fellow in the Construction Lawyers Society of America.
