Rick Now an American Bar Foundation Fellow

We are humbled and honored to share that Rick Davis recently received an invitation to become an American Bar Foundation Fellow. The American Bar Foundation Fellows comprise a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities.

Membership in the Fellows is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. American Bar Foundation Fellows are recommended by their peers and elected by the Board of the ABF. Established in 1955, Fellows support the research of the ABF through annual contributions and sponsor seminars and events of direct relevance to the legal profession.

The ABF is among the world’s leading research institutes for the empirical and interdisciplinary study of law. An independent, nonprofit organization for more than 65 years, the ABF seeks to advance the understanding and improvement of law through research projects of unmatched scale and quality on the most pressing issues facing the legal system in the United States and the world.

The ABF is committed to broad dissemination of research findings to the organized bar, scholars, and the general public. The results of these findings are published in a wide range of forums, including leading academic journals, law reviews, and academic and commercial presses.

The mission of the ABF is to expand knowledge and advance justice through innovative, interdisciplinary, and rigorous empirical research on law, legal processes, and legal institutions.  To further this mission, the ABF will produce timely, cutting-edge research of the highest quality to inform and guide the legal profession, the academy, and society in the United States and internationally.

In addition to receiving an invitation to become an American Bar Foundation Fellow, Rick has also received Martindale-Hubbell’s AV-Preeminent Rating, the Silver Client Champion Award in 2019 and 2020, and was named an associate fellow in the Construction Lawyers Society of America.
