We are humbled and honored to share that for the second year in a row Rick received the 2020 Silver Client Champion Award from Martindale-Hubell. The client champion award is based on client reviews received on the Lawyers.com website over a two year period. Fewer than 1% of all lawyers qualify for a client champion award, which is an exclusive recognition that demonstrates an attorney’s commitment to client service.
Martindale-Hubbell is an online service that provides reviews of individual lawyers as well as law firms that they work for and is designed to provide people seeking legal help with unbiased feedback and additional information to help them find the right attorney. According to the company, Martindale.com contains profiles for more than one million lawyers and law firms across the world.
For more than 130 years, Martindale-Hubbell has been evaluating attorneys for their strong legal ability and high ethical standards through a Peer Review Rating system. Prior to the 1887 edition of Martindale’s American Law Directory, which was the first publication to provide such ratings to attorneys, there was no way of truly knowing if the lawyer you were considering to do business with was trustworthy, ethical, or skilled in the legal field.
While the Peer Review Ratings are still the gold standard in attorney ratings – times have most certainly changed since the first attorney ratings were released in 1887. With the rise of the internet and how easy it is to share your experience with a business – it was important that Martindale-Hubbell also introduced a rating system for client reviews. In 2017 Martindale-Hubbell introduced a yearly client review rating award known as the “Client Champion”.
This is Rick’s fourth straight year receiving a Client Champion Award from Martindale Hubbell. In addition to receiving the 2021 Silver Client Champion Award, Rick as also received an AV-Preeminent Peer Rating, been named as a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and an associate fellow in the Construction Lawyers Society of America.
